Day 134 - 140

Ive lost my photos!

We have had great food and taken many photos but ive lost them all.

We went to dinner with Rob and Megan at Press Day 134 and ate pork belly, squid, fish carpaccio and lots of wine.

We had a few days at the shack - Day 135 a ham sandwich and a glass of wine, Day 136 was a family dinner with produce bought from the Willunga market. It was quite simply the best cut of meat that I have EVER eaten. seriously. I am going to try to go to the Goodwood market to see if they have the same meat supplier there. We also bought organic tomatoes that taste like nothing else! Basil that looked like it had been grown hydroponically ;)

Day 137 and dinner at the Willunga Hotel, I had a salmon fillet with pesto on top which was nice and a roast salad which wasnt.

Day 138 more magnificent meat from the Glenunga butcher - it was so good we invited my parents to dinner!

Day 139 - tonight we had Barramundi with a tomato and green bean salad. We had some of the left over Willunga tomatos and some cherry tomatos that I bought today at the fruit & veg shop. No comparison!

Day 133 - Morrys roast veg salad

Morry roasted pumpkin, carrot and red onion and served it with lemon zest, currants, steak and my favourite vegetable of all time, brussel sprouts! So good!!!

Day 132 - Charlies birthday party

Charlies number 3 cake for his party

This is Indira Naidoos chorizo and bean salad with a few alterations. The chorizo was served on the side to cater for Sarah who is a vegetarian, and the tomotoes were oven roasted. OMG. An awesome improvement to an already fabulous recipe.

I also made some baguettes which was courages serving home made bread to Paul Trigglau, but they turned out ok, we just didnt take a photo. I will make them again!

It was a totally perfect lunch for the adults at the play ground, served with a couple of bottles of Bollinger, because it was after all a birthday party.

Day 131 - Morrys asian soup

Morrys home made asian soup with sticky rice and some of Wilsons fillet steak.  It tasted as good as it looks

Day 130 - dinner at Press

no photo but went to press and had a selection of food - it was very good, as was the wine!

Day 129 - Pea, Pancetta and rocket salad

Indira Naidoos Edible Balcony p98

Pancetta, peas, rocket, feta and mint combine to make a hugely satisfying meal.

Nice one!

Day 128 - Lamb with couscous and spiced almonds

Yum & wow.

Donna Hay Simple Dinners p122.

This is totally worth making. The lamb was just magnificent, just cooked so it was beautifully tender. Served with couscous and a spicy almond brittle!
